Such a stupid fucking design, seriously. The real Alexander was perfect for a faithful anime adaptation, the guy was a long-haired bishounen twink with heterochromia who died at 30, shit doesn't get any more anime than that. Instead, Urobuchi turned him into an orange gorilla.
No wonder they only use the new design nowadays.
