I've been a DJT regular for a few years now and I must say owe the place a lot for having handed me the necessary tools and atmosphere to become pro-efficient in the language. This whole "we kick you to /int/" thing has been upsetting for sure, but forcing DJT into /jp/ is another story.

Although I'm sort of ignorant (for now) about Touhou in general aside from the great fanarts and chara designs, and pretty much most generals around here, I've been browsing /jp/ for the Vocaloid general for a few years now but never intruded on the rest of the board by respect for others' hobbies. It makes me feel bad for /jp/anons around here to have to deal with another general on their catalog, especially when the said general, I suppose, didn't even have that many /jp/ regulars in the first place, it just doesn't sit right with me. Another point is DJT itself; let's not kid ourselves guys, DJT went to shit and what happened was inevitable. Just take a look at over at /int/, most of the people there were what DJT had become, a cancerous nest infested of クソリア銃 who do not give a single shit about Japanese otaku or board cultures. I know not all of DJT was like that, I know there are some of you right now frustrated by not having a place they belong to anymore, but is intruding /jp/ really the solution? I wonder. I believe DJT as we knew it being gone can be a chance, whether at a personal level but also for DJT itself as a community to change and become something new. Trying so hard to salvage it by sticking it like a tumor to whatever board feels "right enough to us" is just desperate as well as incredibly self-centered.

It's not even been 2 days, so who knows what this newly made general will look like in the near future when things have calmed down though. The idea of having both a DJT over /int/ as a garbage dump and a proper one here might be a good long term solution, maybe.
nice blog epic
