It's very interesting that you actually consciously associate health and youth so strongly with beauty. I know there are those theories where much of physical attraction apparently stems from identifying (either consciously or otherwise) a potential mate as healthy and capable of bearing similarly healthy offspring etc but I think I've always taken the idea of health for granted even on a subconscious level... Instead, for me, beauty has always been married to an idea of elegance, grace and sophistication; I'm not sure at what point a conscious recognition/appreciation of ripeness entered the equation but I do think maturity (in a general, non-age specific sense - as in the opposite of immaturity) precedes ripeness and, in turn, sophistication and elegance are often precursors/bedfellows with the idea of maturity. This might be why I have always enjoyed oneesan-types too. I owe my tastes more generally to all the 80s-00s Japanese knitting magazines my mother had around the house; my earliest "exposure" to women outside of my family or the occasional celebrity on TV would have been elegant Japanese women between the ages of 30 and 60 modelling knitwear (I wrote about this at length in a recent essaystory kek) though I'm also not entirely sure when/how eroticism fit into my relationship with beauty and attaction.

So, unlike you, I never conceptualised women past the age of 30 as "too old" even when I was a shota. If anything, I didn't really have many crushes on my direct peers until my late teens/young adulthood since being anything younger than that accordingly meant the distance/disparity between my mayo goblina loli classmates at the time and my conceptualised ideal was simply too great. This wasn't conscious and I think growing up as a varietylad with a smoother transition into becoming a varietychad is by far the healthier option.

Like you, I've been trying to broaden my horizons as well. This was easy at the start when I just added increasingly chubby and/or homely hags to my JAV diet; this might seem completely antagonistic to my prioritisation of elegance and sophistication but this "angle" of contrast was actually easier to manage than, say, adding lolis and imouto-types who are not only diametrically opposite to elegant hags but operating on a completely different axis to begin with. Pocchari oneesans came next, followed by pocchari girls closer to my age and it wasn't until quite recently was I able to appreciate a few conventional imouto-types. In the same way, maybe you can think of some "stepping stones" to pave your way into different territory, where each step incrementally increases the psychological distance from what you already enjoy. Obviously, sometimes you'll find an anomaly who bypasses this acclimation process (for me, this was Sumire Kuramoto, but maybe her underlying sophistication as the hagchad's loli and the lolichad's hag is still a familiar factor).

As for my current favourites, Ririko Kinoshita is definitely among them. Other personal standouts would be Reiko Seo and Momoko Isshiki, but I honestly enjoy all the other names you mentioned too, along with the other usual suspects like Maki Hojo, Kana Mito, etc. A lot of the newcomers are really lovely too, not to mention legends at other studios/freelancing. There are just too many to talk about, the hag scene is absolutely insane right now. Also, as I myself am also ripening, formerly or would-be oneesan-types like Aipan are closer to something like a peer now and this has its own implications.

I think even with the future being so bright for hags, I think there will always be a degree of abnormality associated with them, at least certainly in the public eye in relation to sex(uality) but maybe it still persists in some form in people like you and I who, while not guilty about hag appreciation, still enjoy the frisson of the inherent transgressive context; this wouldn't be possible without some internalised understanding that this is "different". Hag JAV might acquire more normalcy over time but it'll never be THE norm. Fortunately, this in turn reflects the perpetually underrated argument so it's all good and you love to see it.

this makes me think though (and I extend this question to any other hagchads in attendance)
which one of these do you find the more erotic/appealing idea on a strictly contextual basis? why?
>stepmother
>girlfriend's mother/mother-in-law
>best friend's mother
>mother's friend
