Nice one, anon. Unfortunately you ignored that out of those 21 members most of them have older and bigger pushes than Team 8 had for years. I like when someone says that a certain member ranked in her second year when two eitos did exactly the same (2014 didn't really count). The difference is that for two years they pushed as Team 8's face a girl that was far from being popular, unlike what they did with the 16th generation or D3 now. For years Team 8 was treated as lower than a sister group from fans and management. At the same time and before that you would always see other members being given units, senbatsu pushes (ones where you don't leave them out of MV or just for the live version) and so on.
Not to mention that AKB4 stay in Tokyo and have all the advantages, while most Team 8 members couldn't even be part of TV shows for a long period.
But, in the end, when you look at those 21 ranked members you see people that were already ranking before Team 8 was created. Members that will eventually leave.
Instead, you should be asking yourself why Team 8 has almost as many members as the AKB4 teams and why most of the members from those teams are actually Team 8 members. If they're so fine why did you need that?
9/47? Interesting way to see things. Doing the same thing as you I can now say that AKB4 became worse with the introduction of D3, right? You see, anon, it's not about how many Team 8 members ranked out of the 47 (which are not 47 by the way), but how many are good enough to rank and how many have the potential to rank. Because you're saying that AKB4 ranked 21 members with just 53 (which isn't true anymore), but of those 32 others and the ones that came with D3 how many will rank soon? That's what I asked. Unless you think that the US olympic team results are bad because they had a lot more athletes that didn't get any medal.

Sousenkyo numbers aren't the only ones out there
