こんばんはーDJT!
I was wondering, traditionally, were the potential form of verbs supposed to be intransitive verbs? Some textbooks I have seen say that you should replace を with が (in other words, they are saying that potential verbs are intransitive).
Is this really the case? Of course, nowadays there's a lot of natives that use the potential form of verbs as like they are transitive but what does the prescriptivists say about this?
