It's unfortunately the only game of the kind on PC that has any population. There used to be (there still is, but the devs are dead and there's like 150 players on average online nowadays) a chink game that aside from graphics and the higher pace of the game had better mechanics, and the premium ships could be earned with premium currency earned in game (which was easy to acquire, and now it's paradoxally easier due to the lower population, I got Enterprise that way). However, they had made zero investments in marketing, wouldn't offer free shit to relevant potential streamers, and it didn't help that WG was threatening streamers not to make vids of it either, so it sank into obscurity, so with the monopoly in hand, WG are jewing the shit out of players.
