It's a whole clusterfuck and I think they're actually trying to catfish me as someone else now because the line "my friend is trying to get her for her daughter with leukemia" was used. It's all over a doll. She comes up for sale a few times a year, it's not like one of the four sisters or another ancient limited-release doll here. And hell, even if it was, there's no reason to act like this.

Do any of you guys have crazy doll stories or am I alone in this?

I'm in the same boat, I'm effectively shoehorned into getting a Smart Doll in my future (have you guys seen Prowess yet? I'm in love) because no one else makes darker-skinned anime-style dolls. If a smaller company like Choo's can figure out how to do it with consistent quality and turn a profit at it, I know without a doubt Volks could work it out. The market is definitely there, and they have nothing to lose tapping into it.

Related note: I'd kill for a SmD Moonlight. I don't even care if she's been pissed on at this point. If anyone wants to unload one, you have my wallet in your hands.
