I'm pretty sure that's all there is to it. Her hair is too beautiful to not show in it's full glory. The pic you posted is another one of my favorites for her hair. Just the way it's slightly curly at the ends, curved outwards but not too messy, makes it so much more interesting to me than if it were perfectly straight and flat (which I find boring; see Kaguya. No offense Kaguya). It matches her character perfectly and gives her a lot of personality in my opinion.

Both have long black hair, both have hair bows, both have red eyes, and some may even argue that they are both evil.

Other than that, they are completely different characters. Also that was just something one person thought up ages ago.
