I'm pretty sure this was posted in a previous music thread, but that hasn't stopped me yet.

Chihei Hatakeyama, besides having a name that's moderately difficult to type, puts forth an incredibly relaxing ambient album with Minima Moralia. This is the sort of thing I would listen to if I had trouble sleeping. Again, words aren't doing it justice. I'd stop trying, but habits are hard to break.

I'd love to tell you what this is, but I really can't pin it. I know there's a genre in there, somewhere, but all I can hear is "Back yard music" or "Tea time music" or "Cooking music". Ambient, I guess, but it's a little too up-front for ambience. Still, I enjoyed it - I'd go for a sample mp3 first to see if it's your style.
