Be a man and start with UFO like I did.

Hell, I can always look back on when I first started playing touhou, it was right when UFO came out and everyone was playing it.

Stage 3 beat my ass a fair but stage 4 raped my shit.

By the time I got good enough to pass 4, 5 wasn't a problem and I quickly moved onto the rapingly difficult final boss.

Though now I can count on one hand the number of spells in that game that kill me in any frequency.

Flying Fantastica (Byakuren's final)
Ultimate Vasjra (Pentultimate for that tiger-bitch)
Rainbow UFOs of terror (Stop copying Flandre's hardest spell)
and Thunderous Yell (Ultimate in stage 3).
