>The fact doesn't change that it uses stupidity and miscommunication
Man, how dare they use those artificial concepts that doesn't happen to us in real life at all, right? Especially, since plot revolves around teens, who aren't known for such behaviors.
Sorry for the sarcasm, but the basic premise of the VNs is that Shiki irrationally and spontaneously (yeah Nanaya yadayada) kills a passerby, which happened to be a vampire that even more irrationally forgives him for that. Yeah, Tsuki is not Mr. Spock's fav novel, that's for sure.

>The word's meaning isn't that complicated
Meaning might be not, it's about the use. Also, it's used not just as 誰, but 誰があろうと, which by itself implies a metaphor.

And to be clear, I myself an not of a fan of the premises of the Ciel's route, and rather on your side of the argument (aside from the 誰 topic which I'm pretty sure you are misinterpreting), it's just that I think it's a given, as different routes are divergent realities and some are questionable than other. You can also see it as an opportunity to express character's personality from different perspectives. In Ciel's route, Arc's true feelings are very prominent and clearly expressed). So for an Arc appreciator (not hate for Ciel tho) such as myself, I thing of this route, as of Arc's feelings development/expression route, kinda.
