I've noticed a recurring theme when people discuss youkai powers is that people assume that if you can do something, then you can do it to any degree possible.

Medicine is a fairly low-ranked youkai, and might not even be one at all (since she's a doll with a spontaneously born soul, so a tsukumogami at best).
Yes, her ability may give her domain over every poison and the ability to control them, but her power isn't infinite.
Human beings have "the power to move objects", but does it mean every human being could lift a fridge if they wanted? No, only a stronger one would, depending on their power. What about moving a mountain then? Humans can "move objects", so does it mean every human can move every object? No.

Medicine may have the skill to operate on all sorts of poisons, yes, but it doesn't mean she can instantly synthesize a poison that turns you into an inflatable pool toy before you burst into a pile of gold ingots. The more complex the poison, and the more powerful its supposed victim, the more power it would take. Power she likely doesn't have.

Kinda feeling disillusioned with how hard it is to get listens for full-on originals, just the touhou tag is such a massive passive boost to visibility but I'd like to do other things too

What I'm looking for is a nice amount of normal daily life activities, supported by routes and eventually sex, but with an emphasis on an actual plot and relationship moreso than either empty sex or shoujo stereotypes.
Maybe yuri routes might help, even if there's just one, if anything because it means the story wasn't written as a fujo-oriented piece.
