The things you listed are pretty popular, so the pattern you noticed is based on these popular things... If we unzoom further and look at other "mediums/styles", like mainstream music, or electronic music, or metal music, whatever, you'll always notice the same distinct patterns at the top of each of these pyramids as well.

So if you think about it for a bit, you realize what you're talking about isn't about Vocaloid as a "genre" (or whatever you want to call it), it's about the people.
Because let me tell you there are hundreds and hundreds of producers out there you've never heard of and they absolutely don't fit into whatever "pattern" you think you got your finger on.
Lately you may take a look at yourself when making an analysis, because an analysis cannot be excluded from its source, which is you in this case.
