I don't believe this for one second, the point is, the show if it put effort in it could prop any member if it wanted to. As demonstrated by that one Utaban where Taka continually promotes the member of the audience to come up and do a comedy act.
I think it really comes down to the producer being controlling and arrogance, but enough about that, its not that I don't think Taka is funny, he simply just disrespects Musume now.
