Keep in mind that this is specifically talking about an adaptation of WaHH. Most of the questions about "how would Touhou work as an anime" are already answered by how it works as a manga; an anime would just be putting motion and sound to content that's already been made for a passive storytelling medium rather than a game. There's no reason why it should work just as fine as any other manga adaptation. In fact, I've often thought that an adaptation of either Hermit or Scrollery would be both neat and feasible.
