In that case I don't see what you mean by "be like Patchouli", since characterization in danmaku is not really obvious. Neither is Patche playable in a danmaku game.

But if it's a fighter, here are my thoughts.

A "stance" change mechanic would be interesting and fitting for Kosuzu. Kosuzu starts out in her default stance, but certain specials can switch her to and from Possessed Kosuzu. Some (but not all, for ease of play) of her specials will behave differently in Possessed mode. B and C bullets could change effect too. Not only will this characterize her well, I think it could make some combos look flashy.

I could imagine Kosuzu playing like Patche, less heavy on melee pressure but more on having strong ranged specials and bullets. She could be a mix of Alice as well, putting threats on the stage that the enemy needs to be mindful of, summoning tsukumogami from the night parade scroll she's now able to control. I think it would be interesting if she can transition between these two playstyles in her "stance" change mechanic, with Possessed Kosuzu leaning more on Alice.

Having a better than average movement options is something I think is uncharacteristic of Kosuzu. She can be fast, but I doubt she can fly as well as Patche or as fast as Aya.

Kosuzu should address her melee and movement weakness with powerful DP options on some of her default specials, just like how Kosuzu always seems to get out of trouble even if she's deliberately put herself in harms way. You think you got Kosuzu in a tough pressure situation, but give her a moment's breathing room in your blockstring and she'll reverse you hard should you choose to continue. Just like with any DP, if it gets baited out, she's easy to punish. All her level 0 DP specials will have slightly longer recovery to compensate being available without meter use.

Kosuzu's melee attacks won't be your primary way of getting control in neutral, but her air to air is surprisingly good. This has nothing to do with her character, I just thought she sounds kinda weak so far.

I like interesting spell-cards like Philosopher's Stone and that Yuyuko time bomb. Unfortunately I can't really think of spell cards that would fit Kosuzu, but at the same time be interesting.
