First off Volks usually implements a lot of safety measures to deter scalpers. Trying to get a hold of just one is already a major hassle and requires a lengthy process which in some cases you may not even end up with a doll in the end. Secondly you could wind up with a complete bomb like Yayoi which turned out to be extremely common.

Don't hoard character dolls with the intention of getting rich, hoard them because you think they're cute and like the character.
