It took me some time to warm up to the happy birthday song they shoehorned around the tail end, too.
Honestly, I still have trouble digesting that passage even after two months 涙サプライズ！ was unveiled but the song is nonetheless very upbeat and varied (unlike that of a certain party, which can't think any better of repeating the same ho-hum beat for four minutes on end for each of their singles), so it's alright to me. Plus the PV was a killer from start to finish.

Regarding the B-side, First Love was great. No wonder it was chosen as the sound score for that anime by Takahashi Murakami.
The other, not much.
