Turns out Campanella has "quests" you take on. No RPG gameplay. The first one consisted of the party going someplace and fighting a shadow dragon. That's when it got unique. The chibi party positioned at the bottom and the enemy at the top. The fight was narrated in ADV format and several choices came up with 2 or 3 options. They decide the course of battle. The chibis change and "move" to perform actions. Neat stuff.

The first fight was very easy since the characters gave hints what should be done. At the end you pick a character to deliver the finishing blow. I reloaded to see them all and picked the bad choices which lead to a Gameover. I don't know if they added it in the Plus Stories release but after winning a battle once you get an option to skip it on repeat playthroughs. I appreciate that a lot. This quest system is simple and without the battle skip could be tedious on replays but I like it. Gives the fantasy setting an even stronger RPG feel without adding bad RPG gameplay. Best of all no rape on defeat scenes or sex stats to worry about.
