Tsukihime's foundation is explied to be the Celestial Egg. So no, Fate PHH has shit to do with prunning in Tsukihime.

It's not in the original Tsukihime, it's new lore for the Remake but it does play a part in the larger narrative of the game.
It's implied that Arcueid herself is the foundation of TsukiR-verse. Roa calls her the Canopy that's Covering the Void/Comos. This is also why the DAA need Arc for their Sixth ritual, which is meant to have a major influence in the world.

I'd say it's more an Arcueid thing than a Gaia thing. If Arc is not in the picture then it's probably not a concept that's present.
