3rd Generation
3rd Generation is when you really started to see Hololive take off. They really pioneered and perfected the zatsudan model which is when Holos talk to the audience. Every generation has been more successful than the last but 3rd was when it really started to pick up steam. Thus they are considered a turning point and a lot of them are very popular. 3rd Generation also has amazing chemistry together, the best in Hololive. When they're together it is always entertaining, their one year anniversary drawing stream is a must watch.

The ultimate Girlfriend Experience, Amelia doesn't even come close. One of the most supachatted Holos due to this. Lives in the middle of fucking nowhere but is moving soon.

Brown fire elf. Very mature and even keeled. Older. Has a very dedicated core of fans, they aren't as many as Rushia's but they donate just as hard. Somewhat masculine voice and traits. Sings enthusiastically. You know how people complain about asymmetrical designs? Her original face was too symmetrical, looked uncanny. Wears her new years outfit because her normal outfit has a boob window that might draw Youtube's ire. Legs for days. May or may not be fucking Noel.

ASMR extraordinaire. Everyone focuses on her breasts but true patricians know it's her voice that makes diamonds, she can do cutesy or cool very well. Hololive has been a good experience for her, noticeably happier these days. Is a couple with Flare in terms of kayfabe and character settings. But the two seem to genuinely enjoy each other and the narrative that they had sex is the strongest one with the most evidence you will ever get.

Very popular Holo. Extraordinary charismatic. She pairs well with anyone and everyone. Great at talking, joking, she can carry a stream all by herself. Mature, has given great advice to Holos before, including Kiara who literally turned into Giga Stacy after one talking with her. Can moderate well and bring lots of different people together. 3rd Gen's amazing chemistry is in large part due to Marine. Horny and loves to skirt the lines of being lewd. Huge Touhou fan. Tons of jokes about her being old. Filters people with her super fast talking when she gets excited.

MY OPINIONS COMING THROUGH WHO GIVES A SHIT

I'd say Marine first, she can make anything interesting. Her conversation skills are unparalleled and she's very good at reading the different personalities of the Holos and getting the most out of them. She always has a funny story ready, can smooth over any yabai moments, and is great at keeping everyone involved to their comfort level

Second place is Coco, she brings a lot of energy to whatever she's doing and is also really good at leading Holos out of their comfort zones. She also is surprisingly empathetic and can help them with some real shit, like when Aqua was dealing with Antis or Watame was dealing with Kiara syndrome.

Shortly behind Coco I would say Fubuki, and I mean not shortly at all. In fact I consider them tied for second place. Fubuki has different aspects than Coco, she is a great moderator and can pull content out of literally anything, a recent example being Shion and Marine oversleeping by 4 hours. I actually don't like Fubuki that much but I respect her ability

I'd place Suisei third I guess, that might surprise some people, but Suisei is competitive as hell which is always funny. It also makes her competent at a bunch of games because you know she practiced beforehand. If it's a singing collab she's obviously going to elevate it. And she can hold her own in a conversation as well Also she attracted the attention of Holos when she was still languishing in INNK hell, so obviously they wanted to collab with her as well.

4th place for me would be Watame, although I think some would disagree, Watame is really good at going with the flow and can easily follow whatever vibe is going on, no matter how insane it gets. This results in some great moments when you can make her say super lewd things. However I feel she's also not really a leader, so the stronger her partner is, the stronger overall the collab will be.

Next would be a tossup between Mio, Subaru, Choco Sensei, they are all good moderators at multi person collabs, but don't really add a lot themselves. Again this is all just my opinion.

Special mention goes to Miko, although sometimes she can be hit or miss, she definitely brings her own personality to collabs. Polka has also been great in everything I've seen her in, but Gen 5 is still too new to make a definitive ruling.

People might be surprised that I left Pekora off this list given how popular she is and she's definitely entertaining. However I feel like she's always doing the same thing, which works by the way, its always funny to see her get bullied and mess up, but it also kind of feels one note in a collab and doesn't always bring out the best in her partner/partners. Again, it's a mild criticism, it obviously hasn't gotten old yet since everyone loves it.
