I used to have a job in the meat department of a supermarket that usually involved putting meat and cheese products on the shelves and occasionally wrapping fresh meat orders and preparing gormet items. I got let go a few weeks ago. Officially, it was because the store manager thought I didn't work fast enough for his inhuman standards. Unofficially, and truthfully, I got let go because he was about to hire someone new to the company to do my job for 20 cents less, because apparently I was due for a payraise and if I got it then it would cut into the store manager's bonus. I know, it sounds ridiculous, but that's what happened.

I wouldn't recommend my job to anyone here though. While it was pretty easy and straightforward, there was too much social interaction with customers and the pay was pretty shit.

I feel like such a normalfag for posting this.
