You're a fairy.

Your predecessor just got shot down in the last sortie, and you've been dragged out of wherever and thrown into a poorly maintained, obsolete plane with no training, and the controls aren't even labelled. The other fairies on the radio won't explain anything because they're busy ERPing. You somehow manage to take off, but there's no sign of the enemy. You fly around in circles for a while before they find your fleet and you follow the trail back to theirs. By now, there's a swarm of fighters waiting to intercept you. While they're shooting down your squadmates, you stumble across a Tsu doing an anti-air cutin, perfectly positioned since their line is T-crossing your fleet. A shell tears through your plane, leaving the engine damaged, and to your dismay the torpedo release mechanism won't work anymore. You try to fire the machine gun, but it's already running out of ammo. The cockpit is filling up with smoke and it's hard to breathe. You open up the window, pull out your pistol, and fire a handful of shots at some battleship's heavily armored bridge. You hear the click of an empty barrel and simply toss the fucking pistol out. Thanks to the speed your plane is moving at, it hits with enough force to break a window, dealing scratch damage. With your purpose in life fulfilled, you crash into the ocean in a ball of fiery death.
