Yes, she does.
But first, she needs to believe in herself.
She's been riding the teachings of The Forbidden One for too long, what was intended as some quick training to give Her a decent subordinate quickly before Reimu came to seal her away again has become the cornerstone of an independant young woman's entire life.
Truth be told, she hit her maximum potential a while ago, she's just so utterly terrified at this to ever admit it to anyone, least of all her best friend whom she sparrs with all the time.
Reimu's been getting lazy in her training for years now, and only moves into high gear when she really needs to.
Marisa isn't even a close match for her anymore.
Alice has kept her Ultimate Magic to herself ever since the Makai incident, Patchouli is too ill to put up more than a token fight, She has been missing for so long that Marisa has even given up hope on ever seeing her again, and Yuuka has slowed down and retired from the game ever since the big fight with Shinki.
Sure, she's pretty strong in a dual, she can even hold her own without spell card rules, she wouldn't live in the forest of magic if she couldn't handle herself, but her life is finite and time marches ever onward.
One day, one day sooner than she'd like, she's going to make a mistake, one that will cost her her head, and that'll be it.
Living on the edge has it's risks, by definition. And she's been balancing the knife edge for a long, long time.
Do you think Marisa believes in a god? In an afterlife of bliss?
She's been to hell anon. She's seen the kind of person that ends up there. Heaven is full of those who walked the earth centuries before her birth, people far more virtueous than she.
There will be no peaches for her after the curtains close. She knows. The Yama don't lie.
All of this, all of it, combines to give her the most horrible knowledge of all.
Not how / when she will die, anyone can figure that out given her lifestyle.
Not how the world will end; The Lunarians figured that one out millennia ago.
She knows her own limit, her own fate and destiny.
There isn't anything more there anon.
She's flown as high as she can, and she's not even twenty yet.
A whole building block of the human psyche has cracked and fallen apart in her mind, one that is supposed to give Man drive and will to go forth and achieve.
Her life, short as it has been, will be nothing more than a tiny footnote in the Gensokyo Chronicle, and a few memories in three people's minds, people who will probably forget her after a few hundred more years.
The legacy of the Kirisame name will be but a puddle of water on a hot summer's day, slowly evaporating before there isn't even a damp spot on the ground.
