A lot of the game is side stories you're supposed to unlock as it goes along, usually multi part stories you have to unlock as you go along.
The thing is it's impossible to unlock them all in one play of the game, so you gotta use the time you got left wisely.

Yeah they cut like 4 characters from the final game. Supposedly they're working on DLC to add some extra chapters to it, but it feels really weird to retroactively write extra story into a VN
