Their first happy trip to the countryside was much more bwaaah worthy; this scrap-heap of a loser, who had just being going through the motions of existence for five years was pulled out of his funk and became a human being that time. It was bwaaah worthy.

The snow scene bothered me. Yes, poor little Ushio, but Papa shouldn't have lied to her. It made me rage to think that Papa would lie to little Ushio as she died. It was wrong. Plain wrong.

At least little Ushio knew her time was up and forced her dad to get her out of the house one more time. Having him lie to her that they'd travel again once she was better was cruel and unfair to the little girl.
