>appears 熱心 at first and tells me he is using app X to learn it
>convince him to ditch the app as its for ngmiers
>go over kana with him and tell him about anki
>he wants to do a manga reading session with me because he doesn't know how to learn japanese
>we read like 4 pages over the span of two hours
>mined like 20 things from it, i tell him to study them in anki
>one month later, next time i see him he tells me he didn't do anything
