As OP I think it's fitting I have the first (or at least one of the first responses, depending on how quickly another response shows up) reply.

Hanyuu Furude (Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni) has been consistently my favorite for around 4-5 years now, maybe a little more.

I love her so much and I would marry her in a heartbeat if she accepted a proposal from me. I would love nothing more than to make her feel happy and loved while also serving as her protector from whatever bad things I could keep from harming her.

I do have *some* lust for her, but the majority of my feelings rest in a wholesome place.
