Some people think that it's 'fake' and with the appeal being the anime model rather than the player, so naturally there can be resentment from other streamers who cover the same content.

The thing about the Holos in particular is that, ironically or otherwise, there's always the 'idol' aspect there or the sense that they're playing a character. Some people are fine with this and find it part of the appeal. Some people find it disingenuous and that they're deceiving people. That is probably why there's so much doxxing, with some seeing it as a public service to 'educate' people about their oshis.

They didn't seem to grasp that it wasn't their stream and it wasn't their chat. Maybe if I did know who they were I'd get the humor but I had no idea who they were and it just came across as passive-agressive bashing from the sidelines.
