Much like in mythology, the effects are similar yet different.

1. Medusa requires eye contact with the eyes of the target, basilisk simply has to look at the target (imagine the power like a laser beam).

2. Medusa's eyes turn you to stone. Basilisk's gaze renders you a ragdoll that will cum at the slightest stimulation.

3. Medusa's eyes are some kind of purely magical effect. Basilisk's are specifically some kind of magical venom projected from her gaze.
