this is what i consider jav to be in a nutshell: it's an extremely efficient way to get both physical gratification (that dopamine hit) as well as emotional supplementation (from the drama and empathy aspects of the movie). if western porn is just looking for the shortest route for you to ignite your dopamine receptors, jav gives you the full package but also lets you get on with your day once you close the stream or turn off your bluray player. indulging in a movie where you fantasize about the actress is like having a relationship with them without all the hard work.

doesn't jav being set up like this lead to it being inherently parasocial? especially since it's so easy to reach actresses through social media and all the hugging/kissing stuff they do in the movies, not to mention the GFE titles, etc.
