I've been reading AJATT articles, but since I'm not a native speaker of English I don't understand one analogy in:
>Beyond Binging and Purging

http://www.alljapaneseallthetime.com/blog/beyond-binging-and-purging-why-you-maybe-shouldnt-try-overcorrecting-for-when-you-screw-up/

Basically, could anyone who has read it explain what's this post about (or binge n purge in context of learning)? Or someone who would just sacrifice a minute of their time and skim through it?

PS Is it basically about being "3 day monk" i.e. going full Japanese (binge?) and then stopping abruptly (purge?)?
>Basically, you say to yourself “OK, I’ve been binging on bad things for a while now, so let me purge for a little while and THEN go back to a normal flatline”.
Still don't get it even applying my interpretation though...
