I just saw a MAD with scenes from Kagurashi. So it really happened like that. It wasn't just me hallucinating.

Did anyone here enjoy watching episode 14 of Kagurashi? Just in the visual sense.
Why would anyone want to see a non-stop torrent of literal cutes destroying each other? What was the point? It doesn't even have the slightest shock value if you just spam it with quick scenes that have zero depth. Why would anyone ever want to see Rika's face burnt and smashed in with oiled frying pan? And so on. Did the anime staff somehow think that gore and killer lolis are the essence of Higurashi? Nevermind the second part of the episode with that dumb shounen fight. How could anyone involved in its production see it and go "yup, this belongs in Higurashi"?
