That game stands out in my memory as being ridiculously boring despite cute art and potentially interesting setup. I learned a lot about picking games better after trying to read it.

Whenever I read a moe-ish game like pic related it's really tempting to just skipp all the intermediately content and go straight to the deitoing romance and lewd but over time I've really come to recognize that in doing so games blur together and its really hard to distinguish them, because it tends to be that all of a game's elements work together to form a unique whole, so naturally ignoring some will hurt the entire work.

For that reason I wouldn't skip the train stuff in Maitetsu no matter how good the lolis were and how little I cared about trains. In the end it's a very important part of the whole. Though if my goal were to just fap to lolis then the whole would cease to matter I guess. But by this point there's so much porn out there, that I don't think it's wise to skip to the porn like that, I guess? There's plenty of great porn out there not contained within VNs, so if I were to not care about the plot, setting, writing, anything of a VN I'd just go for porn in other forms, even the CG set of the same VN.
