Download adonis and PoFV 1.50a before connecting. Files and simple guide at http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Phantasmagoria_of_Flower_View:_Netplay

Make sure to set your control type to 'full' before playing. If you don't do this you won't be able to move.
If Adonis closes right after you enter the IP to join, it may mean that the game has already started or the host has quit.
If PoFV starts but closes right away, try renaming or deleting th09.cfg. If you are using Vista, you may want to also try setting compatibility for both Adonis.exe and th09.exe to Windows NT. Try again after doing that.

Vista/7 users should make sure they have a 100% unlocked save file. It appears that this is the solution to one of the compatibility issues you get with vista/7.

So after spending some time trying to figure out just how to make Adonis actually work with me acting as the host, thanks to the messages being in gibberish for the most part making it hard to tell what it wanted from me, it crashes while trying to connect the two of us. Anyone know some things that might solve this?

A) Run PoFV normally and change player 1 control settings to Full. It's caused by improperly set controls

Q) Adonis closes right after I enter an IP/port to connect to!
A) Could be one of the following things: a) The game does not exist, b) the host's firewall/router is messed up so you can't detect a game, c) the game already has a player

Q) Game starts after connecting but crashes right away!
A) Try backing up your th09.cfg and then deleting it. It's something to do with the cfg and no one is exactly sure what yet.

Hey guys. Does anyone have the score.dat with every character unlocked? I just reformatted and /r/ failed me. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, does a full character unlock save file or save data exist for Phantasmagoria of Flower View? I looked all over for one and couldn't find it.

I would try to unlock them again, but it'd take forever because I'm bad.
