Shinki purposefully mentally fucked up Alice and demolished her social skills so she'd always have to rely on her mom for everything. All Shinki wants is a child who'll never grow up. That's why she got so many daughters in the first place. Every time her then youngest became too indepenedent for her liking, she just made a new one to satisfy her maternal urges. That's also why her other daughters are all kind of a bunch of losers. They all had a childhood with a highly involved and always present parental figure, but little to no guidance in their teens or adult life. That's why all of them are relatively well adjusted and not fucked up in any major way like Alice is, but also have trouble going anywhere productive in life and dealing with the responsibilities that come with being an adult.
