So when are subs going to be relevant again?

This update made recon planes and seaplanes relevant, now where's my sub update?
Right now, the subs are only used as training damage sponges and 2-3 resource runs.

Cant even be used in this event because of huge LOS requirements and its just better to do other maps with real fleets except 5-3
