I have to say, I didn't read it until you pointed it out.
I thought it was just a cute image, but that was a very heart-warming story.
It just so happens to tie in with my point still, so all's well that ends well!
Interesting to note that Yuukarin's inner mama is stronger than the premise of the manga though.

This artist seems to have done every 2hu there is, even the pc98 ones in a really good style. I like it.

I always thought that Shinki just magick'd everyone into existence, except maybe Saachan. Seraphim are pretty damn important, and given how many gods Touhou has, i'm not sure Shinki would be quite capable of brinigng the actual embodiment of the concept of Death into existence.
