Akagi is easy to get. Get an aircraft carrier (light aircraft carrier is fine too), then sink an enemy carrier and you'll get Akagi for free.

It was more of because it took me quite a while to get my second CA due to a perpetual fuel shortage at the time, but still.

The desire sensor acts up weirdly sometimes, just keep going with the flow and you'll eventually get them.
