One can only imagine how much of Phase 2 Ryukishi has definitely totally written. I am sure after all these years of polish it will be one of the literary greats, and Phase 3 and 4 will follow within a few years after all the preliminary work he's done on them while finishing off his magnum opus.

Wish I had your optimism, but the idea of Ciconia getting big and high quality Naima figures materialising is pretty entertaining if nothing else. Phase 1 was definitely stronger than Onikakushi in my opinion, so I do have high hopes for it even if it takes some time. It didn't contrast unfavourably with Legend either, but comparing it is somewhat unfair since Umineko is basically unsurpassable for me; I'm pretty sure if I loved a VN more than Umineko it would give me a stroke.
