it's called art style. the thing is that it's all in the eye of the beholder, people see what they want to see when something lacks certain details that they expect

eroge from MORE mostly lean towards realistic hair and eye colors for example and while i enjoy that i would get sick of it pretty quickly if every company were just like that. variety is nice
