Do people actually like Tamaki?
I watch some of her videos and she's not a very good host. She regularly screws over her collab partners and makes them look bad, and she never actually offers anything of values. She's a leech that just collabs with popular people to get more views.

Why does anyone actually like her?

no. they'd be successful probably, but most popular? probably not.
Unless by talented you also mean they're gods at marketing, pr, finding collabs, etc.

Tamaki is probably the closest thing you'll ever get to the example you're making. Extremely talented, social, outgoing, can manage herself and created a company around her own success. But even then she's not the "most popular" because she's going against major corporation backed groups who just have way more man power and wide spread appeal than she does.
