Tell us about your solitary adventures in the world of otaku, the media you're reading or watching but have nobody else to talk to about either because it was over a long time ago or simply because nobody on this side of the international date line cares.

On my end, right now I'm listening to archived web radio streams for anime that finished airing last decade. What obscure pursuits are you all up to?

Why does /jp/ hardly ever talk about otaku culture itself?

Okay. Call me naive, but I believe in the jay.
Actually after looking around a bit harder, I found an image that is almost what I imagined. It is dated though and a more modern outlook on it would be spectacular. I want to see how a /jp/sie would envision Liberty Leading the People with their favorite character (or waifu, I dunno) and embodying miscellaneous things from modern Otaku Culture. If you don't have a favorite, Kinomoto Sakura is fine, too. Image posted is probably a great example of it a few years or decades back. The only thing in specific I would personally like though is that "Liberty" holds a flag, of any pattern, as long as its not some sort of trademarked logo or anything (In /jp/ though, my image of a flag is the programming/eroge boolean flag). If you're out of ideas or don't know where to start I can type out a more detailed scenario, but in a way I want to see the artist's creativity and what they think Otaku Culture means in the present time through their rendition of that painting.

Thanks, lurked around a bit but it's probably not what I'm really looking for and/or they wouldn't be able to help me anyways with how off-sync they seem to be from this board's culture. I just mentioned my intent in case someone actually takes the idea up knows what I would be doing with it.
