the more japanese i learn the more stupid translations feel to me as a concept. like when you have 2 languages that literally have no similarities at all, how are you supposed to exchange one set of words for another set of words 100% of the time. like i know its necessary but if it wasnt necessary i think everyone would openly admit how retarded it is
