Aiming for the stars is stupid when you don't have the proper propulsion.

Make something small, combine a short story with a few images and some music to create an atmosphere. Nothing big. You won't succeed if you try to make a Magnum Opus from the get-go.

That's because more is left to your imagination, so you're able to fill in a lot of the blanks of the scenario yourself. This makes it more personalized and erotic while retaining the base qualities of what is actually happening

I ran into that problem too, bro. Switch your non-unicode language to English. The game updater, for some reason, thinks that the yen symbol is equal to a \ or some shit, but updating with my non-unicode language in English worked for me

Let me make something clear. I agree that SDK should have been tapped with the nerf bat to preserve intra-skill balance. In other words, a player should be able to look at ALL Meiling's 22BC skills and think "Oh wow, these are all pretty good. Which one will support my play style the best?"

I just think that Tasofro hit Meiling with the nerf sledgehammer rather than the nerf bat. I mean, jesus, she basically NEEDS level 2 Descending Flower Slam as it is, just to have some truly hard hitting combos. Requiring a level 4 skill to get back most of her old mid-level combo options is just ridiculous

I would have to see specific replays of your tactics to give good advice. Aside from the usual stuff (read up on her combos and get comfortable with her various spell cards), a lot of learning how to play a character comes from learning what moves will let you prevail in what situations. This only comes from experience and attention to detail. Learn what moves of yours cancel into other moves. For most characters, special moves of all kinds (236bc, 623bc, etc) will let them cancel out of regular moves (6a, 5c, etc). That is generally a good area to start: examine your regular moves and figure out which one of them will let you get a combo off on the enemy, or at least let you get attack priority and beat them back at a crucial moment

Most of Komachi's attacks, to my understanding, have an emphasis on range rather than speed, much like Alice. Your ability to play her, at least in theory, will be decided by your grasp of zoning. What distance must you maintain from your enemy to be relatively safe from their attacks, while still being able to bring the strongest of your own strikes to bear? This is knowledge that must be gained through practice

Oh, one more thing. If you haven't gotten it already, get Rikaichan, an addon for Firefox. It acts as a Kanji translator built into your web browser, allowing you to simply mouse over Kanji that you are unfamiliar with to try to understand them. It is not good to rely on Rikaichan as a crutch, but it is invaluable for learning unfamiliar Kanji pronunciation

Also, I forgot one other resource that I used for Japanese. Another one is Living Languages' Complete Japanese: The Basics course. This is the specific product I am referring to:
http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9781400021482

It is extremely thorough, much moreso than the Berlitz Basic Japanese course, but it focuses a lot more on textbook learning than conversational learning. Whereas Berlitz introduces you to Japanese through actual conversation recordings and is relatively minimalist on the book area of learning, the entirety of the Living Language course is more or less a giant textbook accompanied with a pronunciation guide and example sentences. To summarize, Berlitz is more audio, conversational type learning, while Living Language is more textbook and reading oriented.. if that makes sense, anyway

Living Language does have a section on Kana, but honestly I completely ignored it since I just use the previously mentioned Guide to Japanese site for practicing my Hiragana and Katakana
