Youmu, would you be willign to give yoru swords for me to smelt and mix into my sword? It would end up being very powerfull.

But, then I would need more powerfull Yokai materials, and those would be hard to get...

Unless, I make more swords, I see, multiple swords, to kill more powerfull Yokai, always upgrading them with the materials acquired, untill there are no more materials you can get, and then you combine those swords for the perfect sword.
