Yeah, Satoko and Rika specifically never appear in the large hall where all characters reunite, they only appear during the games that take place in Hinamizawa.

Rika's situation would be for obvious reasons, but then Satoko now stands out too in hindsight.

Although it's kind of odd in a special where they keep making fun of Battler and Butler being identical looking no one commented on Bern looking like Rika.

Then again, Mei's line suggests Bern doesn't actually look identical to Rika in her standard form even though Erika keeps thinking random Rikas are Bern.

The Higurashi mobile game, Higurashi Mei had two events featuring Umineko characters last year, with the first one with a script fully written by R07, although the 2nd one was by Kanou, the Higu console writer.

Aside from teasing that Bernkastel's full name really is Frederica Bernkastel, it didn't really deal with any lore stuff connecting the series though.

Only Nao, a Mei-exclusive character, even gets to interact with the fantasy Umineko characters, aside from Erika, who does meet some other Higurashi characters in the side-stories.

The main story of the R07 event shows Erika, Dlanor and Beatrice interacting post-Episode 8, but the whole thing takes place in a special gameboard where you have characters from Higurashi's 83 interacting with Umineko 86, so it's basically all fantasy even when it involves characters like Jessica or Piece Battler (Battler only in the 2nd event).

Inserting themselves into the gameboard can be done by witches, it's just not part of Umineko due to the nature of the game.

Bern's form changes now and then, and Erika knows of this. It is even mentioned that Bern's form is different from Rika's.

The HiguMei collab also seemingly confirms Bern changes her body somehow compared to standard Rika.

You know, regarding Bern's variable chest, Mei does make it sound like Bern changes her form sometimes.
