Woah...I guess we really were Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni™ all along...

One question about Umineko: I'm playing it for the first time, just started episode 2, and I've noticed that, unlike Higurashi, the perspective seems to flip flop between characters a lot, like when Natsuhi enters Kinzo's study and gets complimented by him in episode 1, when Eva is thinking about her life with Hideyoshi in their room right before they get murdered, or at the start of episode 2, with Shannon and Kanon's perspectives. I've heard Umineko is a fair play mystery, but I also know that one of the 10 commandments of detective fiction is that the culprit cannot be someone who's thoughts have been followed by the reader. For Umineko, are those rules set in stone, or do very quick looks into the minds of other characters 'not count' as breaking that rule? I can't help but feel that if the story keeps switching perspectives like that, it'll narrow down the list of culprits too much.
I realize all of those characters die, but the possibility of a faked death from one of them is always there.
