So /jp/, To learn japan speak, I've gathered based on the ajatt guy and you here, that I should start by doing immersion listening whenever I can and start learning 25 kanji a day.

The immersion stuff I'll manage no problem, but I'm honestly not even sure how to begin with these kanji.

That's the first one to learn, what on that page do I actually need to be memorizing for my first time around?

I've got anki ready for srs, but what's the accepted method to learn the kanji in the first place?

Should I just read over the page, copy down the character and remember his little mnemonic phrases for each one?

Should I be paying attention to the kunyomi, which I've gathered is the pronunciation when the kanji is used with other kanji?

What about whatever jukugo is?
