I admit, while I know it's not shopped, the flash from the camera, or whatever lighting is being used, makes it look very strange. Mostly because of the lighting that there is no deep shadows beneath the skirt, which one usually expects to see. Even though it's a trick of the light, it looks totally unnatural to the eye, thus giving it that "shopped" look. Don't go blaming each others intelligence for that sort of thing.

If you look around for crossdressing websites, you can find a lot of helpful things. They sell stuff like hip and butt pads that you can just put on like pants. There's also hip shapers for your waist-line. You could also DIY if need be, with foam. Just remember that lots of layers helps hide any "seams".
